Russia Trip

We decided to go to Russia because of low airfares.  But Russia requires a Visa so we had to go to New York to get one rushed because of the Pope visit shutdowns.

After completing a complicated process, Visa were in hand and trip was a go!

We left JFK airport via Brussels Airlines,  with a stop in Brussels than onto St. Petersburg, Russia.

Flight was okay, I didn't care much for the Brussels Airport too small and crowded.  Although it was morning there, Coffee Shops had beer taps.

Onto St. Petersburg.

We arrived at Passport control, not sure what to expect.  Guy checked my Visa and said Adios.

We took a cab to the Corinthia Hotel, and he spoke some English and pointed out some buildings.

The city reminded me of Budapest, Hungary.

Below are some of the buildings near the hotel on Nevesky Prospeck including Singer Building.
