For July 4th weekend this year, Leonard and I changed it up. We left the city which was a good decision. We enjoyed some nice cool and sunny weather plus great dark skies for star gazing.
We visited Coudersport, Cherry Springs Park, Kinzua Bridge, Clarion (Met up with family for lunch), Cook's Forest, Elk County, Wellsboro, PA, Grand Canyon PA, Olean, NY and stayed in Shinglehouse,PA at the really nice B&B situated on 100 plus acres, Oz's Homestay where coffee is sweetened with maple syrup from across the road in New York.
At Cherry Springs we saw the Milky Way. Cherry Springs is one of the best dark sky viewing areas in the North Eastern United States. We also saw an Elk in Elk County.
